Year after year, two rival universities - Corvinus University
of Budapest and the Budapest University of Technology
and Economics - organize a rope pulling competition on
one of the main bridges of Budapest, Hungary. Our task
was to promote the event online in a very effective and
cost efficient way.
Our plan was to create a Facebook campaign where
competitors could pull the rope by liking the rival
universities' Facebook Page. By the end of the
competition we built a fanbase of more than 10 000 fans
and the word has spread even more about the event.
At the end of the promotion, there was an offline rope
pulling competition as well, held for the fans to compete in
real life.
